Motorcycle headgear is any piece of protective clothing that a motorcyclist would wear on his head - motorcycle helmets, bandannas, masks, tubes, balaclavas, caps, and head wraps. Motorcycle balaclavas cover the head, exposing only the eyes or the eyes and mouth. Motorcycle balaclavas are usually made of all-weather or cold-weather fleece and are worn under a motorcycle helmet to keep the head warm, protect the face from wind and debris, and to keep the helmet lining clean. Motorcycle masks are usually made of stretchy material, sometimes from leather, and serve a similar purpose as balaclavas. A motorcycle mask is often worn with a half helmet. Motorcycle bandannas too are worn with half helmets to cover the lower part of the face, and can be made of leather, fleece, stretch, or cotton. Motorcycle head wraps are usually worn under a helmet to protect the lining.
