Cheng Shin Tire is a trademark of Cheng Shin Rubber Ind. Co, Ltd., the eleventh largest tire company in the world established in 1967 in Taiwan. Cheng Shin started as a manufacturer of bicycle tires - in the 1960's bicycles were the main mode of transportation in Asia. Since then Cheng Shin expanded its line of products to include motorcycle tires , ATV tires, truck tires, automobile tires, and more. Maxxis, a brand of tires headquartered in the United States, are made of a higher grade Cheng Shin rubber and marketed as a premium brand. Cheng Shin is regarded as a budget brand of tires.
